Since our last stay (September, 2007), the park is not as well maintained. The landscaping/lawn was poorly maintained and the overall appearance has deteriorated. The bathrooms/showers were clean and the park is conveniently located to I-15 for an overnight stop. We would only return for an overnight if other options are not available.

This is a relatively nice park with level sites and lots of shade trees, adjacent to the Colorado River (but protected behind a high berm). Aside from the trees, the landscaping is minimal with gravel/dirt sites (which could certainly use more gravel to reduce the dust level – a common problem in the area). Trash cans are only located next to the office and don’t appear in convenient locations around the park. Our site (#28) was a very short pull-through (however, the office kindly allowed us to park our tow vehicle in the adjacent site). The campground is only a mile from the entrance to Arches National Park. The two parks we have stayed in Moab are not very attractive (ie, are not “destination parks”), in spite of their proximity to Arches. Staff is helpful and friendly, and we would return as other options are even less appealing.

This is a nice stopping point along I-84 (very close and easy access), with level concrete pads, and well placed utility connections. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the grounds have nice grassy areas with modest trees for shade, which helps to minimize a “parking lot” appearance. The showers/restrooms are very clean, well designed, heated, and overall are very nice. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

This is a small RV park just off I-40, but with very little road noise. It is well maintained with nice, level sites, and very helpful staff (including a convenience store in the office). There are two fairly large, nicely maintained dog runs. The RV sites have several trees, which provide some shade in the Arizona sun. The landscaping is modest, but well maintained. It was an excellent overnight spot for us, but for others it is also a “horse hotel” – a great place for traveling with pets of all sizes.

This is an older, but well maintained park located adjacent to (and part of) a golf course. We are not golfers, but chose this location for its proximity to the Humboldt area redwoods. If we enjoyed golf, we likely would give this an “8.” As with many older parks, the sites are small; however, they are level and have a nice concrete patio pad with picnic table. There are moderately sized shade trees, which were welcome in the unusual heat we experienced. Although we did not use it, our daughter’s family enjoyed the pool and playground areas. Again, since it is an older park, the sewer connection is small and may require an adapter. We use the Sewer Solution, so this was not a problem for us. The Wi-Fi signal was fairly weak from the center of the park, but use able. The showers and laundry are clean and well maintained, and the staff is excellent – management was helpful and very responsive to a customer issue.

This is one the nicer (and more expensive) KOAs we have stayed in – and we chose it for its proximity to Monterey, about 30 minutes south, as we could not find any better rated parks in the area. There are two beaches in walking distance, one of which is dog friendly. Relative to other beaches in the area (especially in Monterey), they are less than average. There is a very nice, and dog friendly, beach in Monterey across from the Naval Postgraduate School, and the Monterey Aquarium is not to be missed. The campground is small, but sites are concrete and level. However, they are quite close together – so hope for nice neighbors and quiet dogs as we experienced.

This is a small, well maintained park with concrete pads and very helpful staff. The location is excellent and provides a good base (and good value) for visiting the Napa/Sonoma wine county. The showers, restrooms, and laundry are clean and easily accessible. The park was very quiet and pleasant. The camp hosts were particularly helpful to our daughter and her family, who were RVing for the first time and arrived a day ahead of us. The only downside is the lack of trees for shade, as it was quite hot here during our mid-July visit. The park is clearly popular, based on the lack of availability during our stay (we made reservations 3 months in advance).

This is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in. We ended up in a premium site, but were given a discount since our site wasn’t ready upon our arrival. Our site was paved, level, and in the shade of a modest tree. The landscaping is very well maintained, as is the entire park. Staff is helpful and friendly. The showers were clean and spacious and the pool looked inviting, although we didn’t use it. Firestone winery is immediately adjacent and offers a 10% discount on tasting and wine. Another winery, Eberle, is located one mile to the east and offers complimentary tasting; their selections are excellent – don’t miss their Vigonier!

This is still the nicest park we have ever stayed in (after 3 summers of RVing in the western states). This year we rate it only a 9 due to maintenance problems that should be corrected in such a high-level park (for example, the water valve at our site was defective and we had to run a hose to the next site for water; and the wi-fi signal was weak and slow). These issues are easily fixed, and in such a “pricey” park, they should be attended to without delay. It is also the nicest park in the Bend area. Our price includes a discount coupon we received as returning guests.

This is a small and very nice park. It is a pretty setting with nice landscaping, including a beautiful central lawn area with lovely large trees. The layout is nice with large enough spaces, both back-in and pull-through; they are not overly large, but certainly sufficient. Sites are level asphalt, and blocks are required under jacks (no big deal, as another reviewer stated). The location is just south of Eugene and very convenient to I-5. The wireless works, but signal is weak. The management is friendly and helpful. We will return the next time we are in Eugene.

We chose this park due to it good reviews and proximity to relatives in Stockton. It is a beautiful location on the river, very well maintained, very clean, pet friendly, and the management is very helpful. The downsides are that the sites are quite small; it was full when we were here; there are no sewer hook ups (although they do have a dump station), no cable TV, and the Wi-Fi didn’t reach our site. We stayed two nights, and will return when visiting relatives in the area again.

The park is similar to what we have previously described for past visits, BUT the maintenance seems to be much less of a priority. There are a lot of weeds growing in the parking area, with some litter here and there. Overall, it was satisfactory and the staff is friendly and helpful (accommodating our request for a larger site so we could park without disconnecting our travel trailer). The bathrooms and shower areas are clean – and we will continue to stay here as an overnight stop.

This is a very neat and clean park, with exceptionally helpful camp hosts/managers. The sites are very narrow, and one does feel a little “tight” in the spaces. It is close to very beautiful scenery and beaches all along the coast. The park is heavily treed, and there are not many spaces in total – and just a very few for big rigs. We made reservations 3 months in advance, and undoubtedly big rigs may need even more notice. The park is a wonderful base for visiting coastal southern Oregon and, yes, the Crazy Norwegian is a great place for fish and chips; however, an EVEN BETTER place is just up the road in Bandon. Look for the Bandon Fish Market on the north end of the docks – their fish and chips were exceptional!

As previously described, this is a nice park – with helpful camp host; large, clean (and very inexpensive) laundry room; and level sites – all asphalt (both back-in and pull-through). The park is convenient to the beaches, and was very crowded this time of year. The big difference this year was the weather; it was foggy most of the day (and night), with temperatures in the lower 60s. The park is still very much a large renovated parking lot, so it may not appeal to everyone.

This was our second stay in this park, and again just an overnight. The park is exceptional, very nice, with friendly and helpful staff. There is a restaurant on site, but it closed early due to the Independence Day holiday. Showers were very nice, and very clean, and a newspaper was delivered to our site in the morning. Sites are gravel, level, and have a grassy area adjacent. Wi-Fi was very good, and we’ll be back.

This was a one-night stopover on our way up to the Oregon coast. The park is a typical, “parking-lot” style RV park – no trees, but convenient in that most of the sites are pull-through and very long. The restrooms were clean, but appear to be unheated when we arrived mid-afternoon. This may be an issue, in that this area can be quite cool even in the summer. The laundry room also appeared clean and well maintained. The location is quite convenient to Highway 101.

This park is as described – very similar to a National Forest Service campground. It is located in a pine forest, about 3/4 of a mile down a dusty, dirt road off Highway 67 (the main road to the north rim of the Grand Canyon National Park). While it does have full hook-ups, water must be trucked in. Filling one's fresh water tank is not allowed, so plan to arrive with a full tank, especially if you need to use your water pump (and hence your fresh water tank) to boost the pressure for a shower. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is no Wi-Fi or cable. Our Verizon service did not work in this camp (but did at the Grand Canyon National Park lodge); however, one of the staff indicated that Verizon would be available next year. If we return, we would prefer to find an RV park closer to the National Park, as the drive is exactly one hour each way. This RV park is advertised as the closest full hook-up RV park to the North Rim; however, we would gladly sacrifice a sewer hook-up for something more convenient if staying 2-3 nights. Our first campsite was not level, and would have been difficult to enter and exit; however, management was very nice about changing to a more acceptable location. We did not check out the laundry or showers, and indeed the restrooms are porta-potties. We camped 2 nights with no pets.

This park is clearly designed for longer-term summer residents (as evidenced by rules about planting of flower gardens and installation of carports and storage units, not to mention the fact that "children are welcome to visit for one week at a time"). This is one of the tightest spaces we have occupied, and the park itself is rather claustrophobic. Our pull-through site was not quite level, and very difficult to enter due to the very odd layout of sites in the park. There are no restrooms, no showers, and we did not use the laundry. There is no cable TV and only a few OTA stations (satellite access will be tricky due to the large number of tall pine trees in the park). Wi-Fi is available for a $1/day fee, although management explained that the signal from the nearby coffee house is accessible from the laundry room. Our Verizon cell and broadband service worked well in this park. When asked if we planned to use air conditioning, we were charged an additional $2/day for the increased electricity usage. We camped 1 night with no pets.

As other reviewers noted, this park is also a mobile home park, but the two businesses are separate from one another on the property. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and the park is neat and clean. Pull-throughs are double, in a rather strange arrangement, since hook-ups are on the same side for the two sets of rigs. This would mean that one rig must pull in first and the second rig must pull in behind, leaving the tow vehicle trapped. Of course, if the forward rig had a tow vehicle and the second rig was a coach with a toad, then the arrangement works fine. Although we were on the back end, the rig in front of us had not yet arrived so we were able to pull through in reverse. This meant we could hitch and depart the next morning without the need to back out. However, it also meant we were positioned backwards and the hook-ups were on the wrong side. Fortunately, we had sufficiently long cables and hoses. The sites are close together, and because the park was full, there was a bit of a claustrophobic feeling to the place. Although wi-fi is advertised, we did not receive a signal at our site (#25). Cable TV reception is below average. We did not use the showers or restrooms, so cannot comment. This is a good stopover between Salt Lake City and Yellowstone National Park, and it is fairly close to the interstate. Despite the odd arrangement we would definitely return again. Pocatello is quiet in the summer, and very nice college town (home to Idaho State University). We camped 1 night with no pets.

This is a very nice park, and is exactly as other reviewers have described: clean, quiet, and well maintained. The staff, however, put us in a back-in space that was too small (we had requested a pull-through), and then refused to make any effort to change spaces for our reserved week. We were allowed to stay one night in a pull-through, then we chose to make other reservations. Our original plans were to use this park as a base for both Bryce and Zion National Parks. However, the drive from the RV park to Bryce Canyon National Park is a LONG 80 miles (one way) on a two-lane winding road. And the drive to Zion National Park is a little over 70 miles. Thus, both national parks are almost 2 hours each from this RV park. As it turned out, we split the remaining week between a nice KOA park in Cannonville, which is 12 miles from Bryce, and Zion River Resort in Virgin, UT, which is less than 20 miles from Zion National Park.

This was our second stay (we were here in September, 2007), and the park is as we described then – sites close together, often not level, and pull-throughs barely long enough to accommodate our 25-ft trailer and crew cab tow vehicle. The park still is basically dirty gravel – it certainly wouldn't take that much money for proper gravel to keep down the dust and dirt, but unfortunately that did not happen in the year since we've been here. Its location is excellent, staff is friendly, the shade trees are lovely in the heat, cable TV reception is average (but selection is good), and the wi-fi is excellent with no access problems. The water pressure is about 85 psi, so a reducer is important. We camped 2 nights with no pets.

This was our second stay (we were here in September, 2007), and the park is almost as we described then – sites close together, pull-throughs barely long enough to accommodate our 25-ft trailer and crew cab tow vehicle (though likely short for others). Although the sites are paved, they are sloped slightly to promote drainage. We used one 2x10 under one set of wheels to bring the trailer to level. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, about 3:30pm only to discover the office closed at 2:00pm – fortunately, we did not need to change sites at check-in. After setting up, however, we discovered that the wi-fi access was marginal to non-existent and the cable tv did not work at all. That being said, it is convenient (near the interstate), clean, quiet, and close to services. Springville is a nice town and if we return, we would stay here again – but only for 1 or 2 nights due to the deficiencies noted above. It is a good stopover place, and only a block from I-15. We camped 1 night with no pets.

This definitely deserves a 10 and lives up to its "resort" name. It is as described in other reviewers' comments and as depicted on their website, with paved streets and concrete parking pads. We do agree that it is a bit "pricey" and the $1 charge for a 5-minute shower should be included in the $50/night fee. Initially, the Wi-Fi signal at our site was very weak, but when we brought this to management's attention in the evening, it was corrected by the next morning. Also, our Verizon cell service did not work anywhere in the park. The showers and restrooms were spotless, and very nicely designed and spacious (individual/unisex combination shower/toilet/sink). The laundry room was also very clean – but, again, pricey ($2/wash and $2/dry). Management is very friendly and most helpful (including delivering ice cream to our site one evening). Our reservation was unavoidably last-minute, but we were able to reserve the last pull-through in the park. When booking (and again on arrival), we were very clearly told this site (#47) would involve a tight turn upon leaving and we might need to back out rather than completely pull through (this was acceptable to us, but very helpful to know in advance in case we wanted to change to a back-in space). There is an excellent grocery store in the town of La Verkin, 6 miles to the west. Also in that town are much lower fuel prices. The RV park's location is excellent, just 13 miles west of the entrance to Zion National Park. The NP operates a free shuttle service with two loops – one loop is inside the park, starting at the visitors center; the other loop connects the visitors center with several stops in the town of Springdale, 12 miles to the east of the RV park. The RV park has its own shuttle which connects to the Springdale loop; however, the RV park's shuttle only operates once in the morning and once in the late afternoon. We definitely will return to this park when visiting Zion National Park. We camped 4 nights with no pets.

This park is a great location for visiting Bryce Canyon National Park. It is not a deluxe, resort-style RV park, but it is a very nice park for this area. It is well maintained and clean, with friendly and very helpful staff who are knowledgeable about area activities. The showers, restrooms, and laundry are clean and convenient. The park is very close to Bryce Canyon National Park (12 miles) which allowed us to take advantage of an evening astronomy program at Bryce. The best diesel prices however are NOT to be found in either Cannonville or the adjacent town of Tropic. Surprisingly, the best diesel price is at the Sinclair station on Highway 63, which is the entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park. The grocery store in Tropic is a great resource, with everything you need.

This is a very large park, which is full most of the summer. However, it is very quiet. The spaces are adequate size, but none seem to be level – some are almost hill-like. The RV park is very close to the Colter Bay Visitors Center in the Grand Teton National Park. The Center has a very nice Indian craft museum plus the usual ranger programs. Showers are not included, and are located near the RV park office. Restrooms are clean and convenient, with several located around the park. The park is in a heavily wooded pine forest, and sites are close but not excessively so. There is no cable TV or wi-fi, and satellite dish access is problematic due to all of the trees. A very few sites might have a clear shot at the southern sky, but not many. Our Verizon cell phone access was marginal, but the cell phone's broadband was better. The park is about an hour's drive to Jackson where fuel prices are significantly lower than the "convenience store" at the entrance to the RV park.

This location is very close to the interstate (I-80) and good place for an overnight stop, but it really can't be called a scenic area or a destination. Many residents appeared "permanent." Staff was very nice, helpful, and accommodating. They offered a good price on propane. There are several RV parks in the area, but this seemed to be most fully occupied. Laundry and showers were clean and convenient. Sites were very close together, gravel (no grass), but were level. We were able to stay hitched for our overnight stop. Clearly, the main asset was the owners and staff. Cable TV and wi-fi were very good.

This was our third stay (we were here in June and September, 2007), and the park is as described by other reviewers – no trees and covered with crushed rock. This is a typical landscape for the desert southwest, though. There is easy access to the sites, and they are very level. We did notice that the nearby trains didn't seem to be as loud this time, but maybe we're just used to it. The restrooms are very clean, and as mentioned in our other review, there is a common shower entry area, which is very humid (we didn't use the showers here). One change is the new wifi this year, and the reception is very good; we had no problem. The water pressure is about 100 psi, so a reducer is important.

This is without doubt the least attractive of any RV park we've stayed in – but, as one reviewer pointed out, this IS Green River. It is close to the interstate (I-70) and a good place for an overnight stop in a rather remote area. Sites are level, with a scant amount of grass in between, but the park's streets are sandy soil with little gravel. The water hook-up is quite close to the ground and could be a prime target for any passing dog. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a truck stop a few blocks west and on the opposite site of the street (over river and more into town) with diesel prices significantly lower than those near the interstate. Wi-fi and cable TV are excellent.

This is a beautiful spot next to Hebgen Lake, with a somewhat long (17 miles), but easy, drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park. It is treeless in the actual campground area, but the view of the lake and the sunset from our site (#27) was lovely. The bathrooms are quite a walk from the eastern (newer) RV section ("couple of blocks"), but are very clean, along with the shower area. The sites are good size, level, with a grassy area around them, and include a concrete pad with a picnic table. Most sites in this section are back-in, but not difficult to maneuver as there is plenty of room to do so. The streets are gravel, and there is relatively little dust. As mentioned by other reviewers, the laundry facility is connected with the office and closes at 5pm, making it difficult to enjoy Yellowstone and do laundry after a day in the Park. And, yes, there are a fair amount of mosquitoes here (not sure if it is the lakeside location, or just the area in general). The Wi-Fi worked very well at our site, but cell phone reception was minimal (Verizon). We would definitely return to this RV park. We camped here five nights.

This is a desert campground, with sand-like soil producing fine dust around the sites, and pea gravel on the well-maintained roads which are set back a half-mile from the highway. It is indeed very quiet with spectacular night skies and perhaps the best views of the Milky Way anywhere in New Mexico. The host is very friendly and has a wealth of local knowledge. The pull-through sites are of good size, but not entirely level side-to-side. The picnic table is small and could be dusty (but not while we were there). There are no showers and the bathrooms are very dusty and not terribly clean. This may be a problem for others, but with 60 PSI, we were able to shower in comfort in our RV. Although wireless internet was advertised, we could not access it from our site (#6). This is real "desert camping" and, if you enjoy that, you will find that this is a nice RV park. We camped 2 nights with no pets, and plan to return someday.

The advertisement of “large, pull-through sites” is a bit misleading. Our 25-foot travel trailer, with the three-quarter ton crew-cab tow vehicle parked behind it, barely fit into the pull-through. The sites are dirty gravel – basically, dirt with sparse gravel and not level. Sites are also very close together with the grassy area (complete with two picnic tables) shared with your neighbor, since the pull-throughs are entered in an alternating fashion (ie, not lined up in the same direction). There are nice, mature shade trees throughout most of the park, at least for our area. Security seems a little overboard (gate card to enter, and automatic gate to leave), but we really can’t fault it. It’s not clear how visitors would be handled (for example, if one had relatives in town), so this should be clarified with management before reserving a site if this is important. The location is good, as it is close to town and the two national parks (Arches and Canyonlands). The park is close to the highway and there is some noise, but not bad. Cable TV was excellent – probably the largest selection of channels we’ve encountered. WiFi is good when you can log in (the authentication process limits the number of users). Showers and restrooms were clean, but nothing special. We camped 3 nights in a 25-foot travel trailer with no pets.

The park is close to I-15 with easy access. We noticed that our Garmin GPS did not have the correct location, so double-check your GPS directions with the park’s website. Pads are concrete, level, but small. Adjacent grassy area is well-maintained, but small. If interested in a walk for exercise, check out the Hobble Creek Canyon area (adjacent to the golf course of the same name) east of town. This public park includes a very nice paved trail in a beautiful wooded canyon. We camped 2 nights in a 25-foot travel trailer with no pets.

The park is relatively new; in fact some additional areas are under construction. Spaces are generous, concrete pads with well maintained grassy areas. Pads are level. The park would rate a 10 once construction is complete and the trees are more mature. Cable TV is good, and WiFi is the best we’ve experienced in an RV park. This is a good stopping point while traveling through Idaho, with easy access to I-84. There is a Wal-Mart Supercenter nearby.

This is an older park with mature shade trees, well maintained, with nice landscaping. The spaces are small and—as pointed out previously—fairly close together. In spite of the landscaping, the close proximity of the sites results in a view of your neighbor’s sewer connection through your front screen door, at least in our situation. The pull-throughs are very short. Bathrooms are clean and tidy, and laundry room equipment is new. WiFi is also new and works well. Management is friendly and helpful. The location is on the edge of metropolitan Portland and, although off of a main highway, it is very quiet. The park is conveniently located on the TriMet bus line with service into downtown Portland. It is also a convenient location for visiting the many Willamette Valley wineries. We would definitely return if in the Portland area again. We camped 5 nights with no pets.

This is an older park with mature shade trees. Unlike the other nearby park, most of the spaces are very generous, although some are fairly close together. Management is friendly, helpful, and the park is well maintained. The location is close to Anacortes and La Conner. Showers and laundry are clean, but busy (only 4 washers and 4 dryers). Sites are gravel and most are level. We were here a month in a 50-amp site, with no electrical problems. Cable TV was very good, so no need for satellite in our site. That said, most sites are not suitable for satellite TV because of the many mature trees in the park. We learned that we could drive 30 minutes to La Conner to the cable supplier (Wave Broadband) and for $24 rent a cable modem for the month to obtain secure, high-speed Internet service which complements the cable TV service included in the campground fee. Otherwise, the WiFi seemed to be overwhelmed (translation: slow) most of the time. We camped 31 nights in a 25-foot travel trailer with no pets. Our per-night price reflects our one-month stay.

This park must be seen to be believed. Without a doubt, it is the nicest park we have ever stayed in. The sites are huge and paved (no gravel, no dirt). There is well maintained lawn and mature trees through the resort. Sites are well separated, with asphalt parking for tow vehicles adjacent to the pad, which is covered with brick pavers. Management is helpful; buildings are like new and include a hot tub and very nice laundry facilities. There is a tennis court, but no pool (only hot tub). The park is located just off Highway 97 in the SE part of Bend, and is easy to travel to Redmond, Sisters, and Mt. Batchelor. The High Desert Museum, a few miles south, is well worth a visit. The owner has assured us that this park will be open in 2008. We camped 6 nights with no pets.

There is very little in the town of Boardman, but it’s a convenient stopover for one night only. Most of the sites are back-in, but the pull-throughs are short and not flat (built on a little rise). When we were there it was very windy off the Columbia River, and when the wind died down, it was “buggy.” The price was right. There is a train track nearby, with a lot of traffic during the night (which really didn't bother us). It’s a park setting with a lot of trees and grass/lawn, and is adjacent to the Columbia River. We camped 1 night.

As other reviewers have pointed out, this park is next to a fairly active train track. We too are not usually bothered by trains going by; however, many blew their whistles during the day which added to the noise! It is an older park that was very crowded with lots of children on bicycles and skateboards, many seemingly unsupervised. We requested a different site from the one we were assigned (next to the noisy pool) as there were other sites not yet taken, but the park management was unwilling to change the assigned site. Although the WiFi did work, the DSL modem was down and thus there was no access to the internet. The bathrooms were clean, but nothing special. The Bridge of the Gods over the Columbia River was worth the $1 toll each way, and the interpretive museum near Stevenson, WA (just east of the bridge) was worth a visit. We camped 1 night in a 25-foot travel trailer with no pets.

This is NOT a full-service park as advertised. Most of the sites do not have sewer connections, although management will bring portable pump-out equipment upon request. They even ask that you dump gray water on their grassy site as a form of irrigation! We were inadvertently here during Chief Joseph Days rodeo (busiest week of the year), and Rfs were jammed into every possible space (i.e, most spaces were “double parked”). The WiFi is poor, and disconnects repeatedly (most likely due to the excessive volume of campers). Dogs are allowed to run free (particularly the owner’s). It is a very primitive park in a relatively remote and beautiful area, and does have a nice view of the Wallowa Mountains. With fewer occupants, the park is probably acceptable, although there are minimal shower facilities available. We camped 4 nights.

This is an older park with mature trees that provide nice shady spots. It is associated with a marina on one of the Sacramento River sloughs. We were here during the 4th of July holiday week, and it was exceptionally busy. There were large numbers of young people with boats and trailers all through the campground. On our first night, management was not responsive to late night party noise, but seemed to be more responsive later in the week (i.e, the quiet time after 10:00 pm was followed for the most part). The pads were patches of broken grass, but “streets” were paved. The site we had was fairly level, but some were not. Although we did not use the facilities, the restrooms and showers appeared to be clean, but dated (as was the laundry). KOA staff was friendly and helpful. We camped 6 nights, with no pets.

This is a relatively new park, located in the marina run by the Port of Newport on the south side of Yaquina Bay. It is all asphalt, with some landscaping and virtually no shade trees between sites. There are a large number of pull-throughs and back-in sites – not overly generous in size, but certainly adequate. With the customary winds off the Pacific Ocean, the climate is temperate and shade trees are usually not necessary. The showers and laundry room are very clean, and up-to-date. WiFi is available (although it had problems when we were here), and the cable TV connection is great. The Rogue Nation brewery, with pub, and distillery, with bar, are within walking distance and worth a visit. The Yaquina Head lighthouse is just north of Newport, and worth a visit. All in all, this is an absolutely beautiful area with much to do while here. We camped 3 nights with no pets.

This is an older camp and is close to I-5, but there is little freeway noise. It is located in a quiet and pastoral setting, adjacent to a farm with grazing cattle in the distance. There are mature trees to provide shade throughout the park, and sites are gravel/dirt with some grass adjacent. Restrooms and laundry are adequate (clean, but nothing special). Wifi is free and works well. Staff is friendly and helpful. The location is adjacent to Ashland’s Oregon Shakespearean Festival (about a half hour drive south) and the Rogue River is not far away for rafting. Crater Lake is also an easy day trip from this location. The village of Gold Hill is just a short drive away, and there is a grocery store (Ray’s) that is reasonably well stocked. We camped 10 nights, with no pets.

Small park which did not deliver the reserved pull-through (with no apologies), and did not seem to want to make good on the promised site. We reluctantly agreed to a very small back-in. We checked in early and saw many pull-through sites open; however, by nightfall, the park was completely full. Sites are covered in dusty red dirt/rock, and not as level as they appear. Internet access is not quite as advertised. Yes, there is fee-based wifi at your site, but the “free modem” in the main building turns out to be an old data phone with a phone cord (you need your own modem and ISP with toll-free dial-up numbers). The restroom and shower areas are very clean. Next visit will probably be to another park. We camped 2 nights with no pets.

Check-in was efficient, and the park was relatively easy to find. However, the newly configured exit 33 makes it difficult to return to southbound I-15. Pads were concrete with grassy sites, and some trees. Very well maintained and very clean, although we did not use the restrooms, showers, laundry, or pool areas. The pool did look very nice, however. Although close to the freeway and airport, it was very quiet. A drive out to Red Rock Canyon (west of town) is a nice break from the casinos. We camped 2 nights with no pets.

Clean, relatively new, typical KOA with no surprises – and as described by other reviewers. Virtually no trees (no shade), covered with crushed rock (“like a parking lot”); typical Southwest landscaping. A good place to stop for a night or two. Nearby freeway was not that noisy, but trains were very noisy and you could actually feel them at times. Not really a problem for us – seemed to lull us to sleep. Shower arrangement not very good – common entry hall for men and women, with private/locked, windowless shower rooms. We didn’t use it, but looked around; it appeared there was one light switch for all shower rooms (perhaps one could be left in the dark, if someone turned the switch off?). Restrooms were very clean. Wifi arrangement with the adjacent La Quinta was great, but only if you took your laptop and could connect to their DSL. Otherwise, their two PCs were very, very slow. We camped 2 nights with no pets.

This is a very new park – very clean and well maintained, with the NICEST showers and bathrooms we have ever seen (tiled showers with glass doors), attached to a workout/gym area. Hosts are very helpful. Restaurant associated with the park (off the lobby) looked very nice, although we did not use the facility. It seemed to be very busy, and very popular, the night we were there. Wifi (free) at the campsites, and PCs available for guest use in the main building. Pool area was also exceptionally nice. Gravel pads with concrete patio and a little grass, although the trees are small, since the park just opened in April. We camped 1 night (overnight stop on a long trip) with no pets.

One of the nicest parks we have stayed in. Lots of trees, quiet, pretty setting along the river. Management was nice and efficient. Wi-Fi was good. Only a few problems. The sewer location was one... it was about 20 feet from our outlet. Also, the spaces are fairly small. Finally, there are not enough bathrooms/showers for a park of this size. Otherwise a great location (close to Durango). The Durango/Silverton narrow gauge RR comes by four times a day (twice in the morning and twice in the early evening), but this is more of an photo opportunity than a bother.

I agree with the previous review of this park. It is quite nice, but a bit primitive. The sites are large and well maintained. A fair number of pull throughs are available. The laundry and bathroom (showers) are top notch...modern and clean. The park is easy to find....look for the blue signs as you near the turn off from highway 180. It is only a couple of blocks off the highway, but noise was not an issue. The management was very nice. Good quiet place to stay.

This is a relatively large park (202 sites) located about 5 miles east of Ruidoso. It is actually in the town of Ruidoso Downs. The place is clean, the roads are paved and the management is helpful and friendly. About 1/2 the sites are pull throughs. They have free cable TV (about 10 channels) and Wi-Fi. The office/store has a fairly good selection of RV parts and they provide an RV repair service. The park only has 3 bathroom/showers and these are all in one location... not enough for a park this size. No soap in the bathrooms and my wife said that two of the three locks on in the women's bathroom were broken. One location for trash too. Be sure to ask for the combination to the bathrooms. Overall, a nice place to stay.

We stayed there two nights while visiting the Trinity Site which is about 2 hours drive away. The campground was clean and well maintained. Management was very helpful. Very friendly place. Be sure and get detailed directions. This place is not easy to find without them.
